Grow in Love

The ‘Grow in Love’ for 2^nd Class replaces the ‘Do This in Memory’ programme used for many years. It continues to promote the sharing of the preparation of children for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion between home, parish, and school.

Parents/Guardians are invited, encouraged and challenged to be actively involved in their child’s preparation for the Sacraments. It is a special time for families too as they get an opportunity to re- commit themselves to enriching their faith and prayer life by engaging in the preparation. The children will benefit by the home, parish, and school all working together.

Dates for 2018/2019

First Reconciliation 2019                           Monday 25^th March 2019 at 7pm.

First Holy Communion 2019                     Sunday 12^th May 2019 at 10.30am.

Parents/Guardians

Please submit a copy of your child’s Baptismal Certificate to the Parish Office before 21^st December 2018 for attention of the Catechist.

Mass Attendance

It is important that the children are brought to Mass every Saturday Vigil Mass or Sunday, so that they will learn about the Mass through participation. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend any Mass in any parish that is convenient for your family. However, a special programme of preparation has commenced where you are required to attend the 10.30 am Mass at St.Catherine’s Church, Meath Street, on one Sunday per month.

The programme to end of year 2018 is:

Sunday 25^th November 2018 at 10.30am.

Please bring your child to any Mass at Christmas, and visit the crib. Dates will be posted after Christmas for programme Masses for 2019.
